Excellence and problem-solving have long distinguished the practice of law at Caspi & Co. Since the firm’s founding in 1937, our lawyers have added value to client endeavors by combining deep legal skills with original and practical thinking. We have never tried to be the largest firm in town, just the best.
The firm is familiar with both exchange-traded derivatives and over-the-counter derivatives and it regularly advise on issues of enforceability, regulatory treatment, and documentation and creditor rights implications. The firm’s derivatives practice includes transactions that range from the relatively prosaic ISDA swaps to unique structured notes with embedded derivative elements.
In the derivatives practice, Caspi & Co. represents industry groups, major investment banks, commercial banks, clearinghouses and corporate consumers. The firm’s derivatives lawyers are recognized for their talents in understanding and devising innovative market risk and credit risk products. Additionally, the firm is a pioneer in the field of asset-backed securitization in Israel, counseling arrangers and sellers on the intricacies of these financings. In structured finance, the firm had advised on securitizations of such assets as mortgages and trade receivables and had been involved in many of the international securitization of Israeli sellers. It recently advised a receivables seller on a €600 million innovative reverse factoring (supply chain finance) transaction.
